People are talking circles around me, of course I find it concerning. Feelings they fade from my face and indifference washes over me. I can’t let them see. People are getting high and making plans again, and I’m just too tired and sad to pretend. I’m anything. I don’t want to be left alone again, you were supposed to be my friends. Maybe the family it just won’t stay, and I wish I wish there was some other way. We don’t know each other very well, we’re just bands that watch each other play. Saying things like capesdays. Don’t you die on me. Even if it means being right down on my knees. Pounding on your chest. Until I’ve got nothing left, ‘til I’m flat out of breath. Fuck you, and fuck your diplomacy. Fuck you, I want to be angry, and I’ll chuck the whole candle in. Enough judging, the first end to burn wins. People are all starting to cannibalise, and we’re just trying to make it out with our lives. Songs and limbs intact. But you got to do what you got to do to survive, it’s called being alive. There’s a great big evil waiting inside, for the perfect opportune moment to strike. Mess with them and you’ll mess with us, and there just a few things that we can’t let slide. Listen mate let’s take this outside. The guile has been building, Our passion is self-defacing and if you get in our way, it’ll be something worth regretting. Something you’ll never be forgetting.

Orange Mist 01:37
Lay down the smoke scented plastic, Sugar soap the surface, Put some plaster in the holes, So no one can see through it; and the light of my life, well she isn’t here, and the last hope’s flickering out at the back of the bar, and I’m nowhere. And I’m staring into that orange mist, and I can’t survive like this. I can’t survive like this. I can’t survive like this. I can’t survive like this. I can’t survive like… Wrap the stick in fabric, Dip it in oil and try not to burn your hand, Because it’s really dark between the mountains, But I need to go see The Lowlands; and the way things turn out, you’ll probably be playing too, and I think I’m okay alone, then I lock eyes with you. And I’m staring into that orange mist, and I can’t survive like this. I can’t survive like this. I can’t survive like this. I can’t survive like this. I can’t survive like this. I can’t survive like this. I can’t survive like this, and more than anything I pray the paint sticks.

I’ve picked the perfect post-apocalyptic name and I’ve accepted my fate. But as I lay here, nothing has changed. Oh, my apathy it’s done nothing. There goes Antony Green, welcoming the neo-liberal regime. I’ve lived through, another slow death in my bedroom. As I wait for the world to end, everything gets worse again. It’s rise of the reactionary right, and I have no idea how it’ll end this time. But I have the distinct feeling that, I’m going to have to remember how to fight. Back to my nose breaking days, and it’s always that way. When they use violence, you have to use the same. I’ve lived through, another slow death in my bedroom. As I wait for the world to end, everything gets worse again. Then the bomb drops, the atoms in the air they glow hot. It hits me, and everything else stops. I’m waiting for a beta-decay, whilst my bones disintegrate. Because I’m too close, and I am too late. You can fix a broken fucking bridge, to cross any kind of pit. But it’s never the same, and you can’t reverse it. That’s one fucking huge overstep, mutually assured cardiac arrest. Don’t you dare forget, you said you loved them.

Everyone’s jumping ship, and there’s very little left to save. But the boards are my bones and sails are my brains, so I’ll just wait for the waves I wouldn’t hate you if you left, you deserve more than me. But still you stay, while I just wade in a sea of self-pity. There are my long dead friends, they stare with daggers in their eyes. It’s a hot and heavy maze, and I can’t maintain, so every day I die. Everyone’s jumping ship, but there’s very little left to save. Every day I die. Every day I die. Every day I die. Every day I die. So, every day I die.
